Some helpful hints to make a recital video:
– Memorize your pieces – no music on the music stand.
– Dress nicely.
-Tidy up the room.
-Use good lightning.
– To capture an even sound, angle your video recording device slightly more towards the treble section of the piano. This way, you will be capturing the soft higher notes.
-When recording, make sure that the instrument, the hands, and the face of the performer can all be seen clearly.
-Stabilize the video recording device.
-Ask anyone else around to be quiet while you perform, turn off any electronics that might make noise, and shut the doors to the room.
– Make sure your video is horizontal.
DO NOT SUBMIT VERTICAL VIDEO RECORDING
– When video recording, turn on the recording device a few seconds before starting your piece; after finishing, wait a few seconds before turning it off.
